Cinta Adam dan Hawa
That's the title of Misha Omar's new single. The composer is yet to be found out, but the lyricist is Allahyarham Loloq.
Tyme 1st tyme dgr, I thought lagu ni cam pelik je..but after berkali2 dengar (I've been listening since last night) i think it is kinda unique in a very different way. The lyrics are actually quite deep.
This is my interpretation of the song:
Lagu ni memperihalkan kisah cinta seorang wanita terhadap kekasih hatinya dan dia menjadikan Cinta Adam dan Hawa itu sebagai sandaran kerana, Adam dan Hawa pernah bertemu, bercinta dan kemudiannya berpisah antara satu sama lain. Pada awalnya, dia tercari-cari di manakah pujaan hatinya itu, dan akhirnya dia menyedari bahawa insan pujaannya itu berada di firdausi (syurga). Kesimpulannya, lagu ini membawa mesej tentang kesucian cinta yang dibawa sampai ke syurga.

Been keeping up with the never ending cold outside even though I think it is not as bad as last week's.
Fact: Today marks the greatest history of the year where Barack Obama is inaugurated the 44th President of United States of America. But I missed the live telecast sebab ade kelas.*sigh*
Hari ni, cam ttbe je ade potluck kat Wan's apartment. Aku yg dok tido since I got back from class, mcm x percaye yg rumah kteorg wat potluck ngan rumah wan. Aku bangun2 je wan call suruh aku beli some drinks for the potluck and oh yeah! we had a great time and great food of course!! plenty of food! fawwaz prepared this wonderful grilled chicken, the girls buat masak lemak, ayam masak merah, sayur campur and they even baked a cake y'alls!!! sedap gampang! Sambil2 makan, kteorg layanla American Idol Audition on FOX. huhuhu..we had such a blast! Thanx guys!
So, yes. Setelah sekian lama meninggalkan gelanggang squash, I hit the court again! and this time, we went to the rec hall with car sebab need to fetch izwan and ijat. I had the chance to only play with fawwaz and budin. Considering yang aku nih, dah lame tak main, I'd say I did good tho :p

Add drop period ended 12am just now. Considering the fact that I only take 13 credits now, I think I should add at least one course. Bolehla backup my 3 Geoscience courses yang susah tak hengat tuh..huhu..So, I finally decided to add Woman Studies, Humanities and Art (WMNST 003) into my course schedule. And I can fulfill my GH and US/IL requirement. It's a web class anyway. So now, I have 16 credits all together.
Okla, got a summary nak buat. Due Thursday, tapi article pun tak bace lagi. haisshhh~

I was overwhelmed (sekitar Anugerah Juara Lagu ke-23)
Yeah people..AJL23 baru je selesai semalam and we all know that, as predicted, MEET UNCLE HUSSAIN won the ultimate title: JUARA LAGU 2008. Takde kemuslihatan di situ, sebab dah lame dah orang cakap pasal that particular song, how it will win this season's AJL.
All I can say, AJL taun ni mantap giler kot! X penah tgk AJL superb camnih, even ade minor flaws here n there, but I was really overwhelmed! From the opening performance, the finalist, the stage **it was brilliant!**, the theme to the interlude performances, sumenye mantap!
My perception of the finalists sumenye disangkal dengan kehebatan dieorg mlm tu. Sebagai contoh, AYU yang aku rase cam sampah **no offense** mampu made me chills! Siyesly..performance die sgt touching and vocal die mantap. Kalau die menang best vocal pun aku x kesah, sebab mmg bagus. Tapi, ape yg the hosts ckp pasal AYU very the x perlu and x professional. Motif sgt dieorg kutuk pasal imej die. Honestly, I think she looks good, the hairstyle fits her perfectly.
Cakap pasal Aiman plak. Aku nye harapan for this song to win the category musnah! sebab ape, his performance was just horrendous. From his outfit to the backup dancers, sumenye cam siot je! haishh~ and mmg Farawahida layak menang la since Zahid and Heliza pun bosan.
Faizal Tahir. Yes! Die mmg legend sgt that night! If and only if die menang Juara Lagu, tu mmg akan jadi sejarah AJL, for a singer to win 4 titles- best vocal, best performance, juara kategori balada n juara lagu. But, the fact that die menang 3 anugerah pun dah cukup bagus! His interpretation of SAMPAI SYURGA was so powerful! vocal mantap! I just love the concept that he came out with. Very unique! Congrats!
LAGU UNTUKMU. Lagu ni mmg layak menang! Totally fantastic performance. Looking back at the lyrics, aku rase lirik lagu ni mmg best. They (the lyricists) try to convey their masculinty in handling love issues. I adore it!
After all, antara performances yg aku suke which aku tengok ulang2 kt youtube are SAMPAI SYURGA by Faizal Tahir, LAGU KITA by Aizat, LAGU UNTUKMU by M.U.H., HANYA DI MERCU by Ayu and AKU STACY by Stacy. These are the 5 performances yg paling mantap that night. Kalau la AJL ni main sistem Juara, Naib Juara and Tempat Ke-3, i mean, with no categories and stuff, i think lagu2 etnik kreatif wouldn't stand a chance unless they are M. Nasir's or Siti's. And obviously Lagu Kita akan dpt 3rd place.
Wait! Tak mention lagi pasal diva kte, Ziana Zain. Aku rase persembahan die okay, vocally and emotionally. Arrangement by Ramli M.S. mmg mantap, perhaps untuk semua lagu. He made every single song that competes tu, sounds perfect! Mmg salute la kt Ramli M.S. Back to ZZ, even tho aku sendiri mmg minat kt die nih since zaman Anggapanmu lagi, aku mmg tau die xkan menang. Satu, sebab die masuk pun ala2 wild card gituh, and the fact that ade Faizal Tahir and Aizat lam kategori tuh menipiskan lagi harapan DINGIN to be announced as juara kategori balada. And I think Ayu was better than her that night. Sorry ZZ! haks..
Hurm..ape lagi? Yes, sebagai seorang peminat setia AJL, aku rase AJL kali ni la yg terbaik. Before this the best for me was AJL18 where Misha was crowned as the winner. Aku still ingat lagi stage tyme tu punye la banyak tangga and semua nye meriah dgn lampu yg colorful. Finalists tyme tu pun mantap. And ya, opening by Dayang and Adibah sgt best okayy! But secara keseluruhannya, kali ni nye AJL lagi bagus. Interlude performances were breathtaking! Tyme Jaclyn Victor tarik "Dia..Isabella.." tu aku dh meremang dah..Tambah lagi tyme M. Nasir masuk, Jamal lagi..mmg mantap! huhuhu..
FUh! Merasala korang bace entry panjang pasal AJL ni. Haha..Aku semalam tgk AJL dgn 3 member pompuan aku. Kol 7.45pagi dah merentas snow tebal pegi rumah dieorg. Bukan ape, x feel lanson kalau tengok sorang2. And thank guys! (Yaya, Biena and Niesa) for that wonderful moment of ours! kteorg menjerit mcm dpt straight A's SPM je tyme M.U.H. menang and tyme Faizal Tahir menang. All of us anonymously agree that etnik kreatif tuh, sape2 je boleh menang. Oh ya, Zack, thanx for the bihun goreng. die bangun2 je terus gorengkan bihun utk kteorg. So sweeeet~~ hahaha..
Oklah, dh panjang sgt dah ni!

Disturbia
Disclaimer:
Offensive and rude it may seem, dengan ini, saya menyarankan para pembaca budiman agar membaca entry ini dengan hati yg terbuka, kerana niat saya hanyalah untuk melakarkan diari hidup saya. Tidak sekelumitpun terlintas di hati saya untuk menghina mana-mana pihak, baik secara langsung mahupun tidak langsung.

I was in a total disturbia just now! **does the word disturbia ever exist anyway?**
Pagi ni, I had this class at 9.05am. And I woke up late! It was 8.35am when I got out from the shower and 8.45am when I started walking to my class.
Okay, awal la jugak actually sampai kelas, like 8 minutes before the class started. The lights were not even switched on pun lagik!
Fuh! Nasib baik x lambat. BUT!!
5 minutes prior to class, there was this one guy (I think he's from India, assuming merely from his look) entered the class..die pun tercarik-carik la the best spot untuk duduk. Deep down in my heart I was praying, tolong la jgn duduk sebelah aku!!! And yeah! Die pilih seat in front of me, die tarik kerusi, tapi die berpaling ke belakang, analyzing that empty seat next to me..**dub dab dub dab dub dab** and guess what?? Dengan penuh keyakinan diri, die terus pegi duduk next to me!!
Oh my God!!! Oh my God!! Oh my God!!
Bukan ape, I have this littleprejudice perception towards those sedara kite dari bumi Taj Mahal tuh.. They are SPICY! **you get what i mean right??** The spicyness sometimes could be pleasant and unpleasant, and in this case, it falls in between. In other word, it was totally bearable. (It was not a prejudice because prejudism makes you discriminate other people. I am not discriminating okay!)
And last monday, mamat tu duduk depan aku, and still, I can feel the spicyness of him..**sounds houchy la plak! aduhh~** But guys, dont get me wrong. Sebab tu la, aku camallergic gelabah je tyme die chose to have a seat next to me.
Aku pun buat la cam selambe je la, even the SPICY aroma dah menusuk hidung, memecah dinding sanubari lantas menghantar isyarat ke otak dan diterjemahkan oleh tanganku dengan bertindak menutup hidungku. I was being rude, wasn't I? Tapi, aku ingat kate org2 tua, kalau dalam situasi mcm ni, petua nya, tarik nafas panjang2 and bernafas la seperti biasa. InsyaAllah, deria kite akan terbiasa dgn 'situasi' tersebut.
So, sepanjang kelas tu, I can only give my 80% of concentration. Loss the 15% for the 'bearable spicyness' and 5% for me myself yang penasaran tak tahan nak 'berry'. **opss!!**

After all, it is just me who take a great deal out of this even though I am sure other people would not take it seriously. But, heay, I'm just being me! I just don't want to be a hypocrite or something; accepting or agreeing to things easily even though my heart says NO.
ok la, gotta get goin for my next class!

Hari ini..
Hari ini kelas aku bermula pukul 11.15 pagi. Jadi selaku pelajar yang penuh wibawa, aku bangun dan bersiap-siap seawal jam 9.15 pagi (awal ke?)
Hari ini aku ada 3 kelas berturut-turut, dari pukul 11.15 pagi sampai pukul 3.45 petang.
Hari ini aku menghadiri kelas 'Marine Geology (and Geophysics)' pada pukul 11.15 pagi, kelas 'Earth History' pada pukul 1 petang dan akhir sekali kelas 'Oil: International Evolution' pada pukul 2.30 petang.
Hari ini aku belajar satu kaedah unik pembelajaran dalam kelas. Memandangkan profesor untuk kelas 'Earth History' tidak hadir, kami belajar secara maya, yakni profesor terbabit telah merakam sedia dirinya sendiri untuk ditayangkan kepada kami pada hari ini. Hasilnya, semua pelajar menumpukan perhatian pada rakaman video profesor tersebut. Menarik bukan?
Hari ini adalah hari pertama aku diajar oleh profesor yang berasal dari benua Afrika. Jenuh otakku mentafsirkan segala pengucapannya. (Maafkan aku wahai profesor)
Hari ini aku menghadiri kelas 'Oil: International Evolution' (kelas profesor Afrika tersebut) dengan harapan agar aku bertambah minat dengan subjek berkenaan minyak, namun kegagalan profesor tersebut untuk menepis kebosanan dalam diriku membuatkan aku cukup mengantuk semasa sesi pembelajaran. Lantaran, hati aku semakin penasaran untuk menyahdaftarkan (wujudkah perkataan ni??) subjek ini dari daftar kursus aku semester kali ini.
Hari ini, aku balik ke rumah pada pukul 4 petang dalam keadaan perutku berkeroncong minta diisi.
Hari ini juga, aku akan pastikan diriku terpacak di depan peti TV menyaksikan siaran premier American Idol musim ke-8.
Semoga hari esok yang akan ku lalui lebih baik daripada hari ini. InsyaAllah.
Senarai daftar kelas semester Spring 2009:
Hari ini aku ada 3 kelas berturut-turut, dari pukul 11.15 pagi sampai pukul 3.45 petang.
Hari ini aku menghadiri kelas 'Marine Geology (and Geophysics)' pada pukul 11.15 pagi, kelas 'Earth History' pada pukul 1 petang dan akhir sekali kelas 'Oil: International Evolution' pada pukul 2.30 petang.
Hari ini aku belajar satu kaedah unik pembelajaran dalam kelas. Memandangkan profesor untuk kelas 'Earth History' tidak hadir, kami belajar secara maya, yakni profesor terbabit telah merakam sedia dirinya sendiri untuk ditayangkan kepada kami pada hari ini. Hasilnya, semua pelajar menumpukan perhatian pada rakaman video profesor tersebut. Menarik bukan?
Hari ini adalah hari pertama aku diajar oleh profesor yang berasal dari benua Afrika. Jenuh otakku mentafsirkan segala pengucapannya. (Maafkan aku wahai profesor)

Screwed up!
heay guys!
yeah, it's the first day of class. Am excited even though I had to wake up early for a 9.05am class. It went well. Went to the library right after, before my SOC class which started at 11.15am, where I discovered that my PSU account has been locked for some serious security reasons. Bedebar jugak sebab had no idea the reason why they blocked my account. Ye la, I couldn't log into any of the ITS computer and most importantly my WEBMAIL!
As been told by the ITS staff, I made a phone call to the security office (sounds scary..grrrr..) and told the officer what went wrong. And to my surprise she told me that someone in Nigeria (WTH!) has inquired my password in which I gave it to them without realizing that I have been hacked! OMG! I thougt they are the PSU webmail desk who just wanted to update the students' information or some sort. Now I realize the 'lurus bendul' side of me! **dush dush!!**
So, a lesson learned today. Not to give your password to any party very easily without investigating who they actually are. They might come out to be those effin' hackers out there. You guys better be careful!
p/s: makin pening sebab banyak sgt password yang nak kene ingat..**sigh**

2009-first entry
heay guys,
It has been a while since the last time I updated this blog. And yeah! happy new year to all of you! Hope 2009 will bring so much happiness and success in our life..*amiin*
I have been on a road trip for the last couple of weeks. Been to Muktamar at Houston, Texas. Hence, we were driving all the way from State College to Houston and it took us no more than 2 days. Though I was not one of the responsible drivers, the trip was pretty tiring tho. We spent a night at Vandy Uni, and then sambung the journey. Ade la stop here and there. Had a breakfast somewhere in Albama I guess and dinner at New Orleans.
Talking about Muktamar, it was my first experience joining this kinda Islamic Conference thing, so, I had no high expectation or whatsoever. But, I was really surprised by the overwhelming response to this program, judging merely by the number of participants. The majority was Indonesian, and they were very friendly. I got to improved my Indon accent whenever I had a chat with those Indonesians whom I met. Overall, I would say, it was a good experience, got to learn some Islamic stuff and politics as well. **no comment bout that**
And yeah, one thing about Houston that really caught my attention was that it is such a BIG city and the highways and flyovers are everywhere. Bertingkat-tingkat siap! huhu..and we could easily find Halal restaurants. There are lots of them! really!
Right after Muktamar, we had this post Muktamar thingy. Played laser tag. Visiting some Islamic Centers where we encountered a Shiah Islamic School. Spent a night at a mosque and the next day, we headed to NASA Space Center.
My new year eve?? hurm..we were in the van when it was 12am, January 1st. So, basically, nothing much I can tell about my new year. But we spent our new year day shopping!! Omg, I have never thought that I would do shopping during this trip, but it was Amar who convinced us to go shopping. And I got to buy some stuff for myself. And we visited some very interesting places in San Antonio.
We left Texas and headed to Atlanta and spent 2 days touring that Olympic city. I went to the largest aquarium in the world, Georgia Aquarium; and also to the 'Inside CNN Tour' which I think was so cool!
Finally, we headed back to State College and arrived on the January 6th at about 1pm or so. Alhamdulillah, that all of us came back in one peace.
There's a lot of pictures which I dont think I will put everything here. Well, here are some of them.
